Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde inspiracion del genio for the week: Donald Glover

Life shouldn’t be:

bland, undistinctive, banal, blah, boring, dull, flat, flavorless, ho hum, humdrum, insipid, milk-and-water, monotonous, nothing, pabulum, sapless, tame, unexciting, uninspiring, uninteresting, unstimulating, vanilla, vapid

You get the picture.

I am inspired by this amazing artist, Donald Glover. He’s a writer, musician, actor, rapper, performing artist, multi-talented genius, producer of things, and just everything I would like to be. I don’t want to be a rapper. I can’t rap…very well. I would like to be prolific, productive, etc.

He portrays Troy in the show Community. He is also known as the rapper Childish Gambino.

Take a look at these two YouTube videos. You have Troy, the funny guy, and then you have Childish Gambino. BAH! THE GENIUS!

Best of Troy

Childish Gambino

Wikipedia write-up on Donald Glover (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Glover)

Donald McKinley Glover (born September 25, 1983) is an American actor, writer, comedian, and musician. Glover first came to attention for his work in the sketch group Derrick Comedy. He is best known for being a writer for 30 Rock, and for his role as community college student Troy Barnes on the NBC comedy series Community. In 2011, Glover signed to Glassnote Records under the stage name Childish Gambino; his first studio album, Camp, was released on November 15, 2011.

Early life and education

Glover was born on September 25, 1983 on Edwards Air Force Base, California to parents Beverly and Donald Sr. and raised as a Jehovah’s Witness in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Contrary to a persistent rumor, he is not related to actor Danny Glover. In addition to a biological brother and sister, Glover grew up alongside foster children taken in by his parents. Glover attended Rockbridge Elementary School and DeKalb School of the Arts before studying at New York University, graduating with a degree in Dramatic Writing in 2006.
